As I sit here contemplating society

All I want to do is be alone.

Focused on myself.

Lost somewhere deep inside of me.

I look around and all I see are greedy people

Who let their disrespect for others take ahold of everything they do.

Every decision made for the sole benefit of you.

Survival doesn't have a thing to do with it.

Going out of your way to take from those less fortunate.

 

I close my eyes and in my mind disappear.

Ignoring the lies that I never thought I would ever hear.

Pretending I'm fine with this smile on my face.

Forced to wear a mask while simply trying to survive this place.

 

Tell me something and hope I disagree

So you can tell me that I'm wrong while dissecting every part of me.

Seems like all we're looking for is an argument.

Anything to entertain us.

Blindly following the masses while spreading hate like a virus-
