"Before making a telephone call, do you ever rehearse what you are going to say? Why?"

I always rehearse what I'm going to say before I dial the number and sometimes I actually write down notes. I don't particularly enjoy talking on the phone to begin with, but it's often necessary especially at work. Because of this, I can get nervous and forget things, like small details or what I was even calling for in the first place. I have been told that I sound very professional over the phone which I attribute to being a little too prepared when I pick up the phone. With experience, it has become a lot easier and I don't always need to have notes in front of me, however I still repeat what I'm planning to say a few times in my head before I even pick up the phone.-
