The space between is never-ending,

Frantically searching with outstretched hands,

Her long hair dancing with the wind 

As she speaks,

Muffled voices combined in tones unfamiliar. 

Fixated on images blurred, 

Suffocating beneath failed attempts to understand them.

A heart that is breaking for a love that is new.

In their eyes, nothing more 

Than a lifetime burdened by the unmistakable.

She touches his hand 

As the other slowly fades away,

Swallowed by the subtle changing breeze. 

No more than a distant memory,

A vague silhouette 

With outstretched hands, 

Frantically calling his name in a tone unfamiliar.
