These Words

Too often, the strength of our words 

Can be easily misinterpreted 

In the absence of time, 

Preventing us from adequately expressing our deepest desires 

As they need to be heard in a single moment,

Therefore creating 

An unnecessary burden 

Weighing heavily on the heart. 

I ask of you this one thing, 

If it means that we are never lost to the distractions of which surround us; 

May you read these words carefully and often 

As they are presented to you, 

Fully translating them into their purest form 

For only you are aware of their true origin and place in time.

These raw emotions, 

So faithfully displayed upon this canvas 

Just as vividly and beautifully as things remembered.-
