Knowing
Logically,
A love such as this makes perfect sense
Yet is simply non-existent in the way that she had hoped.
For a brief moment,
She felt as though she was falling
Even talking herself into believing that loving another
Does not require one to commit their life or to stop loving someone else,
But the idea lacked the impact necessary to convince her that it was real.
She questions it all every day,
Missing what she feels in her heart will eventually come to be
If only she was able to wait long enough.
In drowning out the many voices around her,
Forcing herself to rely solely on her own intuition,
She is reminded that we have no control over most things,
Specifically matters of the heart and that she should simply just wait.
From deep within comes a knowing
That where she is right now is not where she is meant to stay
And that what she has always longed for will eventually become her reality.
There are no deadlines or a desire to speed up time.
This absence is new to her,
Yet welcoming
In a sense that it blankets her in a calmness that seems to suspend time as we know it
While she patiently waits for her love to catch up.-
