Perhaps...

Pardon my persistence, but the laws that govern this type of thing strictly prohibit the conscious mind from comprehending, let alone executing the necessary steps involved in severing the invisible string which binds two people together. It was my understanding from the very day that I laid my eyes upon you that life as we knew it would forever be impacted though I was completely unaware of the magnitude of what was to eventually manifest seamlessly without intention or permission from either party. 

Many times, I have pondered, sifting endlessly through childish ideas and imagined scenarios in search of a permanent solution to this dilemma which plagues my weary mind more hours than there are in a day. At a glance one might conclude that we are nothing more than star-crossed lovers blissfully lost in a pointless fairytale or even more sinister, a couple of sex crazed loons sinfully lusting for one another with the instincts of wild animals. Either of those would be comforting in comparison to the reality sprung upon us by our hearts at the most inopportune time when nothing about our lives or our minds beckoned it, nor were we prepared for the complications that such an unspeakable circumstance would ensue.

Yet, here we are. 

Perhaps the lesson to be learned amidst all of the chaos and confusion, which renders my soul mesmerized, yet completely and utterly exhausted on a regular basis, is that matters of the heart remain far beyond our control. We are sometimes destined for unconditional love when it may not fit into the regularly scheduled programming of our lives oftentimes presenting itself when we need it the most but expect it the least.-
