Into Her Reflection
Self-worth overlooked
By someone else's compliments,
Draining the heart of its remains.
You see the words
But read them back
Completely void of their meaning,
Smiling into the eyes
Of an empty soul who never cared.
Walking numb,
Stumbling over every picture.
In the mind it never mattered;
Nothing does in the eyes of love,
Except that silly little feeling
Slowly eating you up inside,
Devouring every ounce of self-respect
And leaving nothing more behind.-
You folloowed your heart, a beautiful thing. it hurts. but it shouldn't devour self respect. you are kind smart, beautiful, sexy, eloquent, and important, and loved.
