Lift me from the ashes 

For the fire lives inside of me, 

No longer reliant 

On a source outside of myself.

Setting my sights on something more 

Then what others might define, 

My worth not measured by their expectations. 

I am a force to be reckoned with, 

Undefined by others. 

An individual. 

Capable. 

With opportunities endless, 

As I strive to achieve what my heart truly desires.

Conquering the immeasurable 

In the face of prejudice and adversity 

With my head held high, 

For I am my biggest critic, 

My loudest motivator
