Alone

Standing alone 

Screaming at these four walls 

Invisible 

The silence takes over 

Washing away the fear 

Finding comfort in solitude 

Numb to the sound of traffic outside 

Voices unrecognizable now 

She closes her eyes 

But never to sleep 

Hiding from the darkness 

Still shadows reach 

Stealing the color from her dreams 

Existing only out of habit 

On shallow breaths and distant hope.-
